CAREERS NEWS LETTER
Addington Court Golf Centre, Surrey
£995 +VAT

Addington Court Golf Centre is home to arguably the most comprehensive golfing facility in southern England, offering 45 holes, two golf shops, a fleet of buggies and a 32 bay floodlit driving range.

Golf Ball
This is, without doubt, one of the busiest, friendliest clubs in the south of England. Golfers flock here for a superb round of golf that’s full of intrigue and variety of holes. If you’re looking for a monster championship then this may not be the course for you – but if you want a fun-filled round of golf in good surroundings without any hassle then Addington Court is just the ticket.

Courses
The original Championship course was designed in 1932 and has the feel of a long established and challenging course. If you don’t feel quite up to the demands of the 9-hole course or the Championship course, you can savour the 18-hole Falconwood course to test your golfing skills. The Championship Course offers a stern challenge as the name may suggest.

A gentle par-5 opening hole requires a straight hit from the tee, aimed towards the right of the fairway. Everything gathers to left, and for medium to long hitters it’s worth taking the green on.

The 3rd is the recently remodelled par-3 measuring 116 yards from the yellow tee. This hole may be short but accuracy is the key here. Anything left and you’ll disappear down the hill. Anything right and you will connect with one of the large beech trees and fall short into the bunker. This is a truly beautiful hole. Take your par and run.

Golf Ball
The 6th hole goes by the name of Farleigh Leap and, as the name might suggest, it is downhill all the way. On a good day you can get close off the tee. If you are short off the tee you will be left a perilous shot from a downhill lie over a huge bunker that guards the green from anything short or miss hit. From the tee it looks a doddle, from the rough it can damage your score. Be warned.
The 8th hole is a downhill par-3 of 158 yards. The tee is guarded from the cross winds that blow across the hole on any given day. Club selection is crucial. Two large green side bunkers swallow up anything drifting long and right. Thick rough guards anything to the left.
