The par-68 Falconwood Course is slightly more generous off the tee allowing the less accurate of golfer a more enjoyable game of golf.
The highlights are the short par-4 3rd hole, a gentle dogleg over hawthorns to a raised two tier green. Longer hitters will try to drive the green which is guarded short-right by a deep bunker.
The par-3 9th is a testing challenge to a raised green guarded by bunkers either side. Par is a good score.
The 18th hole dog legs to the right off a sloping fairway. A well positioned tee shot will allow a simple short iron approach to the green.
Favourite hole
The 7th hole of the Championship course is the reverse of its 6th, uphill all the way. This tricky par-4 is appropriately named Everest. The long but narrow green is probably the hardest green on the course to hit and has the shape of an up-turned saucer for good measure. Stay out to the right to open up the green, but beware of the OB on the right!
Clubhouse
Addington Court seems committed to keeping everybody’s golf day as simple and enjoyable as possible. There’s a great menu and spacious and comfortable drinking and dining options. The pro shop is excellent with trolleys, buggies and golf clubs available for hire. In fact, there are two golf shops at Addington Court fully stocked with the latest products at the best prices.
There are six golf professionals in total and all are experienced in the art of custom-fitting and using the Vector Launch Monitor to aid in club fitting and coaching. A Crown Golf Academy offering first class teaching programmes completes the picture.
Leave the M25 at Junction 6 and take the A22 towards Purley. Just before Purley turn right onto the A2022 and follow for 1.5 miles to Sanderstead roundabout.
