Bletchingley Golf Club,
Surrey
£995 +VAT

Bletchingley Golf Club is just waiting to be discovered with a picturesque course and a lovely clubhouse providing all the facilities you would ever need!.......

Golf Ball
Located only minutes from Junction 6 of the M25, Bletchingley Golf Club is set in delightful Surrey countryside with the panoramic backdrop of the North Downs and Weald beyond.

A variety of mature native trees and a stream that crosses the course creating a number of water hazards, offers all abilities of golfer a challenging examination of their golfing prowess. The 6513 yard layout was opened in 1993 and is maintained to an extremely high standard.

The clubhouse is friendly and welcoming, the members affable and forthcoming making Bletchingley one of the finest clubs to visit in the South East.

The Course
The course is a joy to play and will keep you entertained every time. Constructed on sandy soil Bletchingley is renowned for staying open when other courses have succumbed to wet and inclement weather during the winter months. The course has a gentle beginning easing you into the round with a downhill par 4 that plays shorter than its yardage suggests followed by a par 3 with a generous wide green. However once on the fifth tee the course really starts to show its teeth with a potential card wrecker. A classic risk and reward tee shot faces you on this 427 yard par 4.

Golf Ball
The longer hitter, should they choose to, can hit the tee shot across the trees leaving a short pitch onto into the green, but for the player who has to take the longer route accuracy is required to avoid the trees on the left and the out of bounds to the right.  This leaves a second shot of around 200 yards, which has to be threaded between trees to find the green. Well worthy of its stroke index 1 rating!

The front nine completes its journey, as any well designed golf course should, back at the clubhouse. However before you get there a birdie chance is on offer on the 491 yard par 5 ninth. Played slightly uphill and with out of bounds hugging the left side of the hole two well struck hits are required to reach in two.
