Golf Ball
Alternatively lay up the second shot just to the left of the right hand fairway bunker towards the top of the hill to leave an easy pitch to the green.
The back nine at Bletchingley is much more undulating and has much more water in play than its predecessor and has many fine holes worthy of mention.

The eleventh is a double dogleg par 5 with the possibility of getting up in two for the longer hitters but be aware of the water that lurks to the right of the green, a stray second shot can easily find a watery grave.

The undulating thirteenth is the shortest par 4 on the golf course measuring just 300 yards and is tempting to go for the green with the “big stick”, however the green has some of the most severe slopes on the course and three putts are not uncommon. The seventeenth is arguably one of the best and most picturesque on the golf course. A par 3 of 156 yards doesn’t sound much on the scorecard, but mature tall trees flank the hole, creating a natural theatre and a swirling wind that makes selecting the correct club an extremely tough decision.

That final decision will bear heavily on your success on this hole as the small green that waits has out of bounds on the left and a water hazard on the right, get out of here with a par and you most definitely will be proud.

Favourite Hole
Golf Ball
Signature holes are so named for a reason and the twelfth is a real cracker. Set in a quiet and tranquil part of the course the 155 yard par 3 is dominated by the pond that lines the left side of the hole and green.

Beware though, an over safe shot played too far to the right from the tee will be caught by one of the greenside bunkers and from there you are faced with one of the most terrifying shots in golf, a bunker shot with the green running away from you and water waiting beyond the flag to gather your ball. A great par 3!!
