Tucked away on the outskirts of picturesque Poynton, Davenport Golf Club is steeped in history and tradition.
Dating back over 95 years the club has changed location and doubled in size over time but has never forgotten its roots.
The original course in Stockport was 9 holes and when the opportunity arose to move the course to its present location in Poynton making it a full 18 holes the members jumped at the chance.
The present course is only 30 years old but looks considerably more mature than its age would suggest. Now an established 18hole track the course has had a couple of layout changes over the years and now represents an excellent and well-balanced challenge.
