The Antonine course, laid out in undulating and picturesque countryside, is shorter but requires a greater level of accuracy with tighter fairways and small but well bunkered greens. With greens on both courses built to USGA standard winter conditions are now far less of a challenge than they once were.

Favourite hole
The long Par 5, 9th on the Carrickstone Course, appropriately called the “Lang Yin”, is well over 500 unforgiving yards from the back tees and one that leaves a lasting impression.

The Clubhouse
Dullatur Golf Club, whose most famous member was former Walker Cup player and Amateur Champion Reid Jack, is housed in a newly built multi-functional clubhouse overlooking the two 18 hole golf courses. Dullatur Golf Cub is now home to some 900 golfers, 90 bowlers and 400 leisure and social members.

Verdict
A fantastic new clubhouse with first class facilities and two challenging golf courses was a great fanfare for Dullatur Golf Club’s centenary and the perfect spingboard to take this fine club into the new millennium.
