Taking more people to the golf clubs, to the game, is what the PGA wants to drive forward and PGA CityGolf will help do that.
Sandy Jones, Chief Executive of The Professional Golfers’ Association.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce this exciting new concept to our members as we team up with our professional colleagues from the world of golf.
This unique partnership with PGA City Golf enables you to sample some great courses with a level of flexibility that compliments your timetable.
Gordon Taylor OBE, Chief Executive of The Professional Footballers’ Association
Overall we thought the service was great. The Club was good, the staff and Pro very friendly indeed.

I had no problems at all, so well done, keep up the good work.
D. Pilgrim, Lace Mechanics Ltd, Nottingham
I have found the scheme a great benefit to my business by introducing and entertaining existing and new clients. I am extremely interested in continuing the scheme in the future.
Philip Gardner, managing director, PG Mortgages & Loans Ltd, Derbyshire
Our club has already benefited greatly from PGA City Golf, says Chris. The changing face of a golf professional’s workload means that more and more pros are becoming general managers too. PGA City Golf is ideal for me because it means I become the point of contact for both booking lessons and for corporate days and other events. Therefore, PGA City Golf enables me to maximise income from all our off-peak tee times, which in turn helps reduce the financial burden on the current club member.
Chris Morley, Head Professional and General Manager at Lingfield Park Golf Club
I am delighted to report that The Lambourne Club has enjoyed a significant increase in business activity since signing the agreement with PGA City Golf. Not only have we seen 25% more rounds played but also food and beverage revenue has grown by a staggering 35%. We have also signed a considerable number of new members, most of whom live locally but were not aware of the club’s existence. Our experience with PGA City Golf provides further proof that the statistics in the PGA Mintel survey are based on reality, i.e. that there are indeed more people playing today, but they have not been encouraged to join clubs because of traditional entrance restrictions.
Brian Sparks, General Manager at The Lambourne Club
There’s no doubt that PGA City Golf has introduced a whole new dimension to golf club membership in the UK. No longer need golfers be tied to one particular course or club and PGA City Golf membership isn’t dependent on an individual’s opinion or an interview so it has, arguably, opened up the game to a whole new audience.
I’m really impressed with the fact that the golfers enjoy most of the benefits of being a proper golf club member without having to embroil themselves in the drawn out joining process or paying an exorbitant joining fee. The fact that guests’ green fees are also included in the package just makes PGA City Golf even better value and more attractive to golfers everywhere I think. It’s also a great scheme for the participating clubs - they get more income and potentially, may recruit new members.
In this day and age of dwindling or disappearing waiting lists, golf clubs should see PGA CITY Golf as a clever extension to their own marketing efforts. At the end of the day it benefits everyone.
Barry Hearn, Chairman of the PGA EuroPro Tour
